Their Story

This is a picture of me from my former life. It is tough to lose. Tough...
to lose a life’s worth of possessions or an identity….or loved ones. All at one time. I didn’t think I would survive losing everything. For the longest time, I didn’t want to.However losing everything has given me a perspective on myself—and life—that I never would have had otherwise. My life isn’t over. Every day I wake up, I receive the incredible gift of life.Even though I’m older and little slower, my heart still works. There is still time to fulfill my purpose, find a little joy in this existence and maybe experience love. There is still time to begin again… There are benefits that come with age and experience. I’ve done many things to be proud of in my life. My career was a very successful one. I’m an exceptional strategic thinker with a strong work ethic. I produced at increasingly higher levels every year of my career. But perhaps the thing I’m most proud of is helping my family even when it was difficult. Now it’s just me. My mind and values are in tact. My goal now is to find a place to belong. And even more importantly, find a way to give back. The worse part in being homeless is living a life without purpose. It’s time to find mine.

These are our neighbors
During this unprecented time, it's never been more important to help them find a safe, stable, supportive place to sleep at night.
We find that when we wrap a social home around someone, they gain the capacity to often find the physical home soon after.
You are invited to join one or many who seek to find a home this year.
